The Baker Suite: A quartet for car horns and brakes
The Baker Suite is a 2 to 6 piece ensemble led by song writer/guitarist John Baker and piano-accordianist Gayle Buckby. The album has an intimate French café or cabaret feel. The song-writing, the singing, the instrumental playing and Paul Grabowsky’s production work are all extremely good. The instrumental parts are prominent and are a very enjoyable musical treat in their own right.
