Friday Night Live (Fri, 8-10pm)

Every Friday night audiences can tune in to hear local, national or international musicians playing mainly superb jazz and blues classics and originals.

The program features live performances from the ArtSound recording studios and pre-recorded concerts from venues around the Canberra region including the God’s Café and the Loft, as well as some of the world's top venues and festivals.

Friday Night Live is hosted by long-standing jazz enthusiast and broadcaster Chris Deacon.

ArtSound FM has offered the two hours of free production and broadcast time to musicians for over ten years in order to add to Canberra’s already vibrant jazz community. Each band receives a recording of their concert and there are also opportunities for national distribution of the concerts through the Fine Music Network and the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (AMRAP), thanks to the Community Broadcasting Foundation.
