ArtSound FM has a long history providing training for aspiring presenters and refresher courses for anyone wanting to get back into the game. ArtSound FM currently runs in-house training for members and presenters in the following areas:
Break into Broadcasting! (School holiday program)
Open to ALL Students 13 and over
ArtSound's School Holiday Program Break into Broadcasting! is an introductory 2-day course on digital music recording, radio program production and presentation.
A unique opportunity to gain a career grounding in cutting edge digital media!
Our structured holiday activities involve:
- Digital audio production
- FM radio operations and on-air broadcast techniques
- Program preparation
Location: ArtSound FM, Manuka Arts Centre, cnr NSW Crescent and Manuka Circle, Manuka
Times: 9.30am to 4pm (one hour lunch break)
Dates: 4 & 5 October or 11 & 12 October

Introduction to Broadcasting Course
ArtSound FM's next Introduction to Broadcasting course for New Presenters (and anyone looking to refresh their skills) will run soon.
For: ArtSound members with an interest in presenting radio programs on ArtSound.
Delivery: by a team of experienced ArtSound presenters.
Content:
- Overview of ArtSound's facilities and philosophy;
- Introduction to our studios and equipment;
- Privileges and responsibilities;
- Studio operations;
- Presentation styles and vocal techniques;
- Planning and producing a program; and
- Assessment and beyond.
When: Tuesday evenings, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, over a four-week period, with Assessment a week later.
Where: ArtSound studios, Manuka Arts Centre.

Cost: $225 (includes GST).
