IN THE FOYER – 3.30pm Mondays .. repeated 3.30pm Wednesday.

30 minutes of interviews, reviews and music focusing on shows being presented in the Canberra region and beyond, and the artists who create and perform in them.

In the Foyer is produced and presented by Bill Stephens OAM, a familiar voice to Artsound listeners through his programs Red Velvet and Wild Boronia (6.00 pm Sundays and 3.30 pm Tuesdays) and Dress Circle. Bill narrated The Gershwin Project and contributed weekly interviews to On Stage, both produced by Len Power.

In addition to his work with ArtSound FM, Bill is a member of the Canberra Critics Circle, reviewing dance, musical theatre and cabaret for City News, Australian Arts Review and the Canberra Critics Circle. He writes feature articles for Stage Whispers, is a member of the Helpmann Awards Cabaret Voting panel, and a longtime interviewer for the National Library of Australia’s Oral History program, specialising in the performing arts.

Eamon Dilworth Quintet at Smiths

Eamon Dilworth (trumpet) leads his (Canberra) band comprising Hugh Barrett (piano), Carl Morgan (guitar), Hannah James (bass) and Mark Sutton (drums) at Smiths. He was on tour last year to launch his new album, Viata.
