Here’s the best part: ArtSound isn’t like many stations with rigid playlists telling hosts exactly what and when to play. We trust our presenters to dig deep and share the freshest, most exciting music they find. Each week, we shine a spotlight on local talent and showcase our ArtSound Selection—14 standout tracks handpicked by our Music Director from the best music to come through the station.

We’re also big fans of premiering new songs on air and sharing videos online, so please send your music at least two weeks before release to give it the best chance of making it onto the airwaves or into our social media.

We love receiving physical copies of finished albums and EPs! However, these must be accompanied by a free digital submission via the form below to make sure as many presenters as possible can access your music—maximizing your chances of airplay.

If you’re local, feel free to drop by our office at 30 Manuka Circle, Griffith during business hours. It’s best to call ahead so our volunteer reception can be ready for you. Otherwise, mail your CDs to:

We highly recommend exploring AMRAP to distribute your music to community radio stations widely—it takes a little setup, but once done, your music and info are accessible to many presenters.

Alternatively, popular platforms like Google Drive, OneDrive, or DropBox work great. Please provide your tracks as WAV or 320kbps MP3s, along with your electronic press kit (EPK) for full context.

You can contact any presenter directly via admin@artsound.fm, and they’ll pass on your email. Or just leave a note in the form below when submitting your music.

All music sent to the Music Director is listened to within 2-3 weeks. You can search our website to see if you’ve received any spot play from presenters. Due to the number of releases serviced each week we can’t provide individual feedback for all music submitted.

Unfortunately, due to high volume, we’re unable to respond to all requests for detailed feedback on why songs may or may not be played. We encourage you to keep submitting and engaging with the community.

Maybe! Reach out to our Events & Operations Coordinator at admin@artsound.fm with your band info, music links, and socials. We hold limited live music fundraisers yearly and always seek Canberra’s best talent.

ArtSound manages giveaways mostly:

  • After in-studio interviews (let us know in advance if you want to do this)

Yes! Offer a reasonable discount (ideally 20%+) to ArtSound subscribers and get extra promo. We’ll list your events on our local events page and possibly feature them in newsletters, depending on timing. Email details to admin@artsound.fm.
