19 July — Ironclad Creek

Michael Kraaz writes and performs his own work — always a particular kind of intimacy when the writer is in the room.
26 July — Madam Brenda Will Be Annoyed

Harriet Elvin’s script, performed once again by the real-life mother-and-daughter pairing of Janie and Bianca Lawson — warmth, comedy, and a touch of heartbreak.
August 2026
2 August — Circe

John Lombard both writes and performs this one-man mythological tale — a quiet, character-driven piece to open the month.
9 August — The Three Mrs Madderleys
Episode 261 – Monday 10pm, Sunday 4pm
Then the scale opens up with The Three Mrs Madderleys by Josephine Tey, performed by Nikki Hunter, Natalie Waldron, Penny Hunt and Neil McLeod. A fuller cast gives this week a different energy, with more interplay, more contrast, and more room for the drama to build.
Mid-August Double Bill
16 August — The Suit / Behind the Mirror

This week delivers a double bill from Bart Meehan. First is The Suit, performed by Nikki Hunter and Peter Fock, followed by Behind the Mirror, performed by Janie Lawson and Bianca Lawson. Two short works in one sitting gives the night a real sense of range.
23 August — The Banjo

Bart Meehan returns as writer the following week with The Banjo, performed by Neil McLeod.
Season Finale
30 August — The Wind in the Willows
Episode 264 – 1-hour special, Monday 10pm, Sunday 4pm
The season closes with a one-hour special: The Wind in the Willows, recorded as a staged performance at the Mill Theatre. Mole, Ratty, Badger and the gloriously reckless Mr Toad — adapted by Bart Meehan and directed by Lexi Sekuless, recorded live at the Mill Theatre in front of a real audience. A fitting finale for a season built on Canberra’s homegrown writing and acting talent.
